Somebody found their voice

Georgia has found her voice. She makes sure she is heard every second she is awake.....even at 3 AM! She is finding her place in our family more and more each day. She watches us, smiles, and "talks" all the time.

A girlfriend (you know who you are) asked me if you love your second child as much as your first. Sadly, I wasn't quite sure how to answer that question at that point in time. Now I can say without any doubt - I LOVE this little girl and couldn't imagine life without her. I am sure there is something to be said about loving your children for each of their unique traits - but the heart is capable of more love than we can ever imagine :)

Thanks Papa Eddie and Grandma Susan

Teran and Lilah spent the evening making sugar cookies and decorating them with the frosting markers. Kudos to Papa Eddie and Grandma Susan on giving a great birthday gift. One that we will most definitely get good use of this holiday season.

In case it should happen to you.

Just to be clear no one will volunteer this information until it should happen to you. Whats that you are wondering? It is the hidden mommy secret that is only revealed when it happens to your child.

Here it is.................babies fall off beds. Yes, I found out the hard way that Georgia can roll. She rolled face first off Lilah's bed. Not only did I freak out and call everyone I know, but almost every person I talked with said their child had also taken a spill at one time or another. Who knew?? Here I was afraid to call my Dr thinking my parenting would be questioned. So, if you find yourself in my position looking at your infant face down, screaming after tumbling off a bed in your home - don't fret apparently its completely normal.

See - she already forgot about it all.

We had the girls well child checks this morning - Lilah her 2 year and Georgia her 2 month. Both girls are healthy, which is all I ever ask for! We also managed to get the H1N1 shots for everyone (of course not Georgia - she's too young). Here are the updated stats. Warning..........Georgia is a beast!!

Yes, that is over 100%. She is a tank weighing almost 5 pounds more than Lilah at 2 months!!

Lilah

God help me...........

Give me strength. This weekend has pretty much been a nightmare. I know most people are all about the warm fuzzies on their blogs, but not this time. This weekend has been nothing but headaches. My husband, toddler, infant, and dog are driving me N.U.T.S!! I kinda wish I could wake up and go to work tomorrow. Yep, that is how trying its been. I could go on and on, but I think I will leave it at that. Actually, I think I'll go lock myself in the bathroom, take a hot shower, and cry - all by myself!

Birthday Party

We had a pool party for Lilah this past weekend to celebrate her birthday. Of course it was Dora themed as that is her newest obsession. Thank you to everyone who drove up and helped us celebrate. We had a great time and hope you did as well :)

Birthday Girl

Happy Birthday Lilah

Today is Lilah's 2nd birthday....I have to pause after writing that because it seems unreal. My baby is turning 2. I've heard parents say "I can't believe my baby is turning.....(fill in the age)" so many times and thought, yeah whatever. But, today I feel that same way. I was talking with a girlfriend yesterday wondering how life goes so quick. How can I possibly have been married nearly 6 years, have 2 kids, a dog and a home in the country?? Its all happened in a blink of an eye. I suppose moments like these are what keep us thankful for life's blessings. With that said - Happy Birthday Lilah! I hope you always stay the healthy, silly, hard headed, precious little Daddy's girl you are today. I love you with all my heart, xoxo.
