Lilah Laughing

We are both getting cabin fever...........we are finding humor in just about anything. Who knew a flapping blanket could be so funny?!? Turn up the volume and enjoy my baby's belly laugh!

Poor Baby

Can you guess what Santa is bringing Lilah for Christmas this year? Here's a hint, her babies won't be pushed around by their necks anymore. They will have a more relaxing ride ;)

Snow Day #3.......A day at Grandma's

The breathtaking drive from our place to Grandma's house!

We got a good start on our Christmas cookies. We made snowballs, spritz, sugar cookies, and magic bars..........mmmm! The house smelled so yummy ;)

Mom sent me home with the best homemade stew and garlic bread.

Lilah had the best time chasing the cat, tasting cookies, and banging (I mean playing) with grandma's pots and pans. Thanks mom for the wonderful day! I love that we live so close and can enjoy these times together!

A snow fire??

Anyone who knows Mike knows he really likes to burn things. So why did it still surprise me when he decided to start a fire in the middle of a snow storm??? Here is how my husband spent his Thursday afternoon. I bet you were thinking, "Now why didn't I think of that!"

Lilah's first snow

Although we didn't play in the snow (it was TOO cold), I think Lilah liked it. She was full of "Wows" and points. We did venture out for a quick trip to see Santa. I am pretty sure Lilah asked for a baby crib and stroller for her babies ;)

A great day!

One of my favorite decorations - I love when its all lit up at night.

My newest Christmas addition. I love my nativity scene!

Our Christmas tree. So far Lilah has managed to stay away.

The start of the snow earlier this evening. Now there is like 4+ inches!!
Its snowing like crazy.............I got all my decorations up today............I bought eggnog creamer for my morning coffee...........I started my Christmas cards........what could be better! I LOVE the holidays

Karli's Baby Shower

This weekend we showered Baby Koning with lots of goodies. It was a wonderful afternoon spent with great friends. I am so excited to meet Karli's little one. She is going to be an amazing Mommy.
I see dangerous mom's weekends in the future.........Go Cougs!!

Lis and Adrianne take a break from the cupcakes to snap a pic :)

Wreath Making Time

My parents have an annual wreath making party at their property that we have become quite fond of. Its so nice to be outside enjoying a warm fire, a tasty beverage, lots of treats and good company. Us girls get to be creative while the guys can escape and shoot guns and be manly.

Look who's 30!!

Its official Chris turned 30 years old today! I am very proud of my brother. He is a great dad, has a beautiful family, and a wonderful career. Happy Birthday Chris. I am glad we could spend it together :)

Go Cougs!

What a great Apple Cup! Cougars pulled through in the end :) We had a nice afternoon with friends cheering on our team and playing a little Rock Band during half time. All in all it was a great time. Lilah was loved the music. She was all about the drums. I swear that girl will do something with music or dance in the future. Its like her whole being lights up when she hears music.

I found the BEST clips around! The No Slippy Hair Clippy. They are CUTE, don't fall out, and Lilah honestly doesn't fight me when I am doing her hair. I just love them. They are a little spendy, but completely worth it. They would make great Christmas gifts (wink wink).
Check them out www.hairclippy.com

Happy Birthday

A little glimpse into Lilah's first birthday. It was such an emotional day. I can not believe my baby is one year old!! I spent a relaxing morning at home playing with Lilah before meeting Daddy at daycare for a party with her friends. That evening we dined on her favorite meal - chicken fettuccine alfredo and garlic bread with the fam. Lilah loved it as usual! We sang "Happy Birthday" and opened gifts. Lilah loved her cupcake..........it was everywhere. I can only imagine what would have happened with a full cake! The best part of the evening was when Lilah opened her first baby. She kept saying baby and giving it kisses and pat-pats. I can't wait for her birthday party this weekend!!

Thinking back.............

By NO means do I find these pictures flattering, but they bring back so much emotion. These pictures were taken November 10th 2007. I remember the days absolutely creeping by.....I was 6 days past my due date of November 4th, and way past my initial due date of October 29th. Yes, for those that remember my first due date was 10/29/07 then changed to 11/4/07 and then back to the original date of 10/29/07 at 8 months when they said she was measuring big. Needless to say they had no clue!
However, one year ago tonight Mike and I checked into Providence Hospital. I was admitted as a medical induction at 10:30pm November 11. 16 hours later..................I had a beautiful little girl in my arms! Tonight I can not stop thinking about the last year. Where has the time gone? How is my baby one year old? I am a different person then I was a year ago - life has a whole new meaning. Lilah truly is my blessing from God. I love her with all my heart and couldn't imagine a more perfect daughter. I love you Lilah...................happy almost FIRST birthday!!

Kinda Cool

I am such a proud mommy!! Lilah is using 3 signs consistently. She just started using the "more" sign today. She'll sign more, all done, and eat. Like I said before, its like she is learning something new everyday. I just love her :)

Chili/Chowder Cook Off

After a lot of hard work (and a few glasses of wine) preparing 15 gallons of chowder we had success today. The smoked salmon chowder was fabulous! Mike did a super job. We had a great time today at the Stanwood/Camano Chili Chowder Cook off. We even met some new friends that live close by who we hope to hang out with in the future. Its all about finding Lilah new play mates these days.
