Waiting.........

Mike had to go to a meeting and didn't get home until late. Lilah and I had a great evening together, but it appears she was ready for Daddy to come home. I found her standing a the front window asking for Dada. From the looks of the picture you can see she was pretty happy as he walked up the front steps. She loves her some daddy!!

Don't take your eyes off her!

Most of you know I am a little concerned about Lilah's crawling. She just won't crawl like a typical baby, she loves to army crawl. So I have been consulting with an Occupational Therapist that I work with on ways to develop her crawling skills. The OT's recommendation - work on climbing to increase strength in her arms/lower back and alternating weight in her legs.

Well, I think Lilah has mastered climbing and taken it too the next level. Apparently, our work has paid off. While Mike and I were in the kitchen preparing dinner the little dare devil went from the floor to the lift top table in no time. Lilah didn't even seem to mind that the chair she climbed on was a rocking chair. In fact she held on tight and was rocking like crazy. She was very proud of herself (secretly so was mommy)!! She may not crawl properly, but the girl can climb :)

The Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch with the whole family. It was wonderful. I love this time of year. There is so much to do and see. I told Mike before we went that having kids is the best because it makes you get out and do all the things you loved to do as a child.

He Tries His BEST!!

I had to go into the office this morning so Mike stayed home with Lilah. I think these times are good for Mike and Lilah as they don't get as much one on one time. It gives Mike a taste of whats its like to be the primary parent. Not that he doesn't help (A LOT) but he doesn't always get to do the things like feeding, and dressing. So anyways, I go to pick up Lilah and my dear daughter was looking................well she was looking :) Notice the backwards onesie, the overall's which are several months too small, and the 0-6 month booties. Oh well, at least she was dressed, fed, happy, and still looking cute!

Splish Splash!!

Lilah has become quite the swimmer these days. Just recently she decided that she no longer wants to sit in the bathtub. She is all over the place, tummy, back, pulling to the side, standing up?!?! By the end of bath time everything is soaked and she is exhausted. I guess she is trying to tell me its time for swim lessons :)

Why not give it a whirl

More then anything I want to document all the things that make me smile about Lilah. Mike and I had one of those moments today when we realized just how fast she is growing up. I can't believe that its almost been one year since she was born. She has changed us both forever! Today as we watched her talk to herself pushing her jeep around the house we found ourselves discussing at what age she would go into kindergarten. KINDERGARTEN, WHAT?!?! Alright perhaps I am jumping the gun, but here's the start of my new online journal. It will give me a place to share all those fun new mommy moments that make life so great.
