We've had a very nice weekend - one that I really needed. A good combination of friends and family. I realized last night how much I enjoy spending time our friends. I don't think I have laughed so hard in a long time. I am still shaking my head at some of the conversations we had......Its important to let loose and act like "kids" every once in awhile, right?!

What started as a Murder Mystery party turned into a Rock Band party hosted by this lovely couple.

One of Wade's proud parenting skills. Tiff, I LOVE your face in this pic :)

This morning Lilah and I made pancakes before heading out to the La Conner Smelt Derby. She made some mighty fine pancakes. She is becoming quite the little chef.

I found this picture and I love it. You both look so happy and in love. Glad you got hitched :)

6 years ago I married my "catch". Its been 6 years of ups and downs. Who knew marriage could be such a ride! Either way I think I'll hang on for a few more years.

If you can't find Lilah....

Chances are she is in her room doing this :)

Cousins

Grandma planned a very fun V-day party for the grandkids and us "kids" on Saturday. Its awesome to watch the cousins interact. I am completely enjoying watching their personalities develop and the relationships they are forming with each other. Us parents had fun as well.......How ya feeling Chris?!?

Before the sugar high

Starting with the candy necklaces. I love Gracie's face in this picture.

Frosting Cupcakes......or should I say eating as much frosting as possible

Teran looking very "pretty"

Will...say Cheese!

Not at the party, but I felt a little guilty for the lack of Georgia pics. My baby and I on Valentines Morning. She was 5 Months on the 13th.

Lilah's classroom had a Valentine's Day party today. I stayed and helped Ms. Jessica - who is the sweetest most patient teacher ever! The kids decorated valentines boxes for their Teddy Bear Parade around the retirement home, had snacks, and passed out Valentines.

I feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful daycare for the girls. Lilah started at Josephine's Daycare when she was 2.5 months old - 2 years later she is still playing with the same friends from her infant class and all the teachers are still there. Georgia has the same teachers that Lilah had when she was in the infant room - a HUGE comfort to me. I feel at peace knowing my girls are well cared for while I am away at work. Today I witnessed first hand all the fun they have. I finally understand why Lilah asks to go to school some days. Those kids were having a great time together.

Jessica LOVED Georgia!!

Starting to Decorate the Boxes

No doubt my child was the messiest of ALL the kids. She just couldn't resist.

Let the Parade Begin. Mia and Lilah both brought their George's.

Taking a break to laugh and be silly!

Whoops.......wrong way! Running to catch up with everyone else.

Mike and I had a much deserved weekend away. When I heard the girls were having their party downtown I immediately booked grandma for the night so we could escape for a little R&R. We had such a wonderful time - we had adult conversation, payed no attention to nap and bedtime schedules, and simply enjoyed seeing friends and being together. Thanks mom for watching the girls and allowing us the opportunity to escape for the night.

First stop
We purchased this couch for the new rec room we are adding to the house. I can't wait for the extra space. I am t.i.r.e.d of tripping over toys!

2nd stop
Checked into the Sheraton Downtown. Perfect location for walking to downtown shopping. It was really pretty, especially at night with all the twinkly lights.

3rd stop
Dinner at Pink Door. We had never eaten here and I would absolutely recommend it. Great food and the atmosphere was really fun. Good pick Katie.

The Party
Perfect Party. It was fun to see so many people. We had a wonderful time. Happy Birthday Lyndsy, Laura, Wex, and Lis. What a great excuse to get everyone together and celebrate.

Sunday we slept in until almost 9:00.....That's like noon to those of you who do not have kids!! It was like heaven. We sipped coffee, watch TV in bed, and took our time getting home. We arrived home to 2 happy girls.......1 of which has figured out how to open her bedroom door and let herself out of naps and in the morning.........**sigh**

Life is good. I am truly blessed.
